Overview

Concierge enables personalized retail service, but manual tasks drained associate time. As Senior Product Designer, I led a six-month project integrating OpenAI assistants to streamline segment and collection creation, enhancing associate efficiency and store sales.

The Challenge

Associates spent 60-80 minutes manually creating customer segments and product collections, a tedious process that limited time for direct customer engagement. This inefficiency reduced sales opportunities and strained store performance, frustrating associates and managers.

The Solution

OOUX and ORCA integrated AI into the Customer module, defining objects and relationships for intuitive outputs that aligned with associate needs. Workshops clarified AI objectives based on user pain points. The solution embedded OpenAI assistants to generate segments and collections in 5-20 minutes using natural language prompts, styled to match existing interfaces for instant familiarity, and added light mode for usability in bright settings, enabling associates to focus on personalized clienteling and drive store revenue.

The Result

Tasks dropped from 60-80 to 5-20 minutes, a 75% reduction. Associates gained time for customer outreach. Conversions are expected to exceed 20%, with an AI foundation ready for January 2025.
